I’m not in the business of changing people,

not intentionally at least.

But I do vow to act and react like those I need to

surround myself with…

and when all is said and done,

I hope you’re still here.

Can we Change People to Suit our Needs?

Have you ever felt the need to separate yourself from a toxic person? Or maybe you’ve wished you could change a family member, friend, or boyfriend/girlfriend whose values simply don’t align with yours anymore?

I think we all experience this at some point in our lives. But¬†unfortunately, I don’t think it’s possible to change people intentionally. The only person who can do that is ourselves.

I think all we can really do is pledge to get to know ourselves and be ourselves 100 percent of the time. If we can do this, we may be able to create a response from those around us. You know, like a ripple effect?

Otherwise, separating yourself might be the best idea.

Have you been forced to separate yourself from certain people in your life?

I know it’s not easy. Leave me a reply in the comments and let’s talk about it!
