For Men, From Women

STOP
Commenting on my boobs.
STOP
Making me feel used.
STOP
Taking away my hope.
STOP
Deeming women a joke.
STOP
Alluding to my thighs.
STOP
And look me in the eyes.
STOP
And think about how I feel
when you make me into an object:
something that’s not even conscious or real.

Often times men don’t realize that their words and behaviors toward women affect how we feel and perform in daily life. Many times women don’t even consciously recognize they are being affected by such words and behaviors.

I’m sure the same can be said for some aspect of manhood; for example, women tend to label men as weak when they don’t seem macho or tough enough. As opposite sexes, are we constantly creating feelings of inadequacy within each other without consciously realizing it?

What do you guys think?
