Fear Lies

Fear, lies, poetry, life, refugees, nolan, love, lovetrumpshate

Fear is the root of all evil.

It has poisonous vines

that live in all people.

It attempts to hold back change.

It tells you it wants to keep you safe.

But fear is just the vine

with berries that blossom

to make poisonous wine.

Take a sip?

You’ll see,

the feeling’s divine:

it’s a glass full of hate

to intoxicate your mind.

Fear Lies.

Fear affects perspective. Do not forget that.

  1. Indeed, fear attempts to hold back change. This is why don’t want go out of our comfort zone at times and our life does not improve. We need change. We need to fight back fear. Thank you for your poem.

  2. Fear holds us back to the things that we want to do or to the things we should do.. This made me reflect on the set backs of my life… Love this! You are talented!
